Golf ball hunt
The weather today was amazing, in the 70's!! So, obviously we spent almost the entire day outside. We took a long walk to explore our new neighborhood and start noticing random golf balls on the ground. There's a golf course right behind our apartment building, so no surprise really.. but it quickly turned into a golf ball hunt! I told the boys they couldn't go onto the course, but could collect any that had gone out of the course and into the trees and grass on our community's property. It was so much fun and we left with a whole purse full! I kept feeling like I was doing something really sneaky.. but if you look closely at the golf course photo you will see that the ground is covered in them, so I doubt they will miss a few. Anyway, it was good practice for egg hunting! After that we walked to get the boys smoothies at a local coffee shop that has a firehouse theme. We all had fun and got a ton of exercise! (Although, I'm exhausted now and my legs feel slightly numb.) I'm hoping the fresh air and sunshine will help everyone sleep really well tonight. Hope you all had a good day as well! :)
P.S. Thank you Grammy for the books and DVD.. we love getting surprise mail!
We would find the golf balls irristable too. So cute in the purse! HA! Men and children seem to think the reason we carry purses are for their trash or treasures!
I love Firehouse Coffee!!!! I took my niece there for lattes a few weeks ago! :) I go every time I'm close by! (and can talk my coffee-hating husband into indulging me!)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous day! Golf ball hunting certainly sounds like a good precursor to egg hunting. And that coffee shop...so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Madeline. Good practice.
