Corner View: Double Post!

My head was a bit foggy last week and I forgot about Corner View, so I am doing a double post this week. For those of you just now joining me here, "Corner View" was started by the lovely Jane at Spain Daily and each Wednesday we are given a different topic to write about. It's such an amazing way to get to know people from all over the world and see how they live. If you go to her blog there is a list of all participants. I urge you to take the time to explore other Corner Views! :)

This past Wednesday's topic was "September". Here in Ohio the weather is beginning to cool down a bit and the leaves are starting to change colors. We are outside every minute we have the chance, trying to soak up the last remaining warm days as we sadly wave goodbye to summer and warmly welcome Autumn into our homes. September in our town is filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of the fair, horse races at the track, speed boat races on the lake, baseball games at the park, and growing up there was always a football game on tv. It is a time of pumpkin picking, corn mazes, and hayrides. I begin to gather nesting materials from thrift stores, piles and piles of warm clothing.. over-sized hoodies, flannel pj's, and thermal shirts. Afternoons are spent eating lots of grilled cheese, tomato soup, warm pita bread, hummus, and my favorite fall treat.. honeycrisp apples. It is eating dinner by candlelight and lingering at the table over coffee and conversation, or quiet unspoken relaxation. Evenings are spent snuggled up under quilts watching movies and reading favorite books together. It is also a time to remember September 11 and to lift up a silent prayer to the families of those who lost loved ones as a result. Hope you will join me here and linger for a bit yourself..

Still with me here? This week's topic is "Out your car window". We took a more scenic way home from the park the other day and I was able to capture some photos along the way.. although some of the images are blurred as an obvious result of being in a moving vehicle. I kept asking J to slow down, but the car behind us seemed to be in quite a hurry. What ever happened to being able to take a leisurely country drive? Anyway.. roll your window down, put your feet up, and enjoy the ride! :)

Oh, and one last thing before you leave..

Thanks for joining me. :)

XOXO, Erin

I have to come back later to read the rest of your blog to see what I have been missing the last couple of weeks.
